Morphological and cultivation value characteristics description of new perspective ornamental peach varieties bred in Nikita Botanical Gardens has been given. The varieties were bred as a result of using genoplasm Persica vulgaris Mill, varieties with different type of flower, P. mira (Koehne) Koval, et Kostina and Amygdalus communis L. They differ in high ornamental idices in flowering period and in bioecilogical indexes.

Creation of Initial raw for breeding of winter wheat by change of the development type under low temperatures influence was described. Seeds of spring wheat were vernalized in aluminum weighting bottle. By using low temperatures at sawing of M2-6 at the begin ind of optimal terms of sawing of winter wheat, new winter-hardy variety of Voloshkova was bred.

Influence of harvesting ways of spring brewer’s barley on grain crop capacity and quality has been examined. It has been established that in order to get good quality grain and timely harvesting all yield along with direct combine operator usage, application of separate way during grain humidity is acceptable.

Установлено, что для получения зерна хорошого качества и своевременного сбора урожая одновременно с прямым комбайнированием допустимо применение раздельного способа при влажности зерна 22% | Розглянуто вплив способів збирання пивоварного ярого ячменю на врожайність і якість зерна. Встановлено, що для одержання зерна доброї якості та своєчасного збирання врожаю поряд із прямим комбайнуванням допустиме застосування роздільного способу за вологості зерна 22%.

З метою прогнозування небезпеки вилягання посівів розроблено і виготовлено апаратуру для визначення міцності соломини у фазах трубкування і колосіння. Наведено результати випробувань розробленої апаратури та її практичного використання.

With the purpose of forecast of crop lodging, instruments for determining straw strength in booting and heading phases have been elaborated and created. На основании результатов опытов сделано заключение, что сорта и гибриды отличаются между собой по некоторым хозяйственно-ценным признакам. Получена характеристика сортов и гибридов кукурузы сахарной за направлениями использования. | В умовах Правобережного Лісостепу України вивчено 6 сортів і З гібриди кукурудзи цукрової. На основі експериментальних досліджень встановлено, що сорти і гібриди відрізнялися між собою за господарсько-цінними ознаками. Отримана характеристика сортів і гібридів культури за напрямами використання.

Выявлены отличия по яровизационной потребности между сортами селекционных учреждений, расположенных в различных климатических зонах. | Вивчення яровизаційної потреби ряду сучасних сортів пшениці м’якої озимої України та Росії (87 зразків) показало значну перевагу в їхньому складі - 81,6% - сортів з нетривалою яровизаційною потребою (30-40 діб). Виявлено відмінності за яровизаційною потребою поміж сортами селекційних установ, розташованих у різних кліматичних зонах.

Influence of the abiotic factors on earliness of 16 standard maize hybrids in all agroclimatic zones of Ukraine at nine State Canters for Plant Variety Examination and State Variety Testing Stations during 1999-2006 was analyzed. On the base of the research results, a new method of earliness group determination for varieties (hybrids) of maize without comparison with the standard hybrids has been developed.
