One of the critical issues related to sustainable urban in twenty-first century, is the growth and development of the city in space and on this basis, the civil management was forced to think about urban development. Tehran metropolis with its growing, developing immersive and without physical, environmental instability surrounding the statue has arrived. One of the ways for decentralization and redistribution of the population and facilities thought in spatial planning is the, urban development and building new settlements around the metropolis which must meet the criteria of environmental, social, economic, physical, geographical distance, etc. be considered in studies not lead to environmental catastrophes. The method of this research is descriptive-analytical and its target is applied using the K-means and FCM's clustering methods to check this important. To evaluate the quality of the environment and determine optimal sites for the development the new cities in Tehran province in 3 pm base (man-made environment, social environment, economic environment and the natural environment) with a total of 22 indexes are used. The analysis and processing of indices for the paper two environments Matlab2013 and Arc GIS software was done. The results of clustering using FCM and overlay in the form of maps showing which areas are suitable for urban development in the East and South of Tehran. Also the plan was prepared by K-means that we can be used to provide strategies and integrated management areas.

The present era is an era when rapid and amazing changes due to the rapid advancement of science and technology, political decisions by governments and other macro and micro factors arrive quickly which have a profound impact on the dominant trends. So, for the formulation of regional development scenarios in such era, realistic and systematic knowledge in the strategic area of planning seems to be essential. Using developmental approach and applying systems theory, the researcher in this study aimed to evaluate and analyze the development strategic variables of Mazandaran province as the main variables of scenario planning for regional development in horizon 1410. The methodology of this study is structural analysis. It is a qualitative research in terms of nature of the data, and a survey and documentary one in terms of methods of data collection. Cross analysis are used to analyze data by use of MICMAC software. The results indicate that the key and strategic variables of Mazandaran province development in Horizon 1410 includes: "the way of country’s macro management ," "inflation," "the way of managing the province", "Research & Development (R & D)", "level of IT (information technology)", "population", and finally "inter-institutional cooperation ". Meanwhile, the key capabilities and the priorities of the development of the province in Horizon 1410 include: "Crops", "gardens and nursery ", "aquaculture", "special economic zone of Amirabad", "tourism", "Fereidoon'kenar Port", "AmirAbad Port ".

There is competition between land uses in spatial land use allocation. In this research two approaches including Multi Objective Land Allocation (MOLA) and optimization with Genetic Algorithm (GA) were used for conflict resolution. The MOLA approach is based on suitability and proximity to ideal point whereas in GA, a suitability layer together with a cohesion index was used for land use allocation. The output from MOLA application was fed into the GA approach as the initial population and contiguity index as a landscape metric was used in the process to improve the result. With inclusion of contiguity in the GA approach which is absent in MOLA, and has no precedence in Iran, the final patches in the land use pattern were compacter and better shaped. Results showed GA application using MOLA output improves landscape metrics specifications in the final land use plan. However, including landscape metrics compromises suitability for land use, but there is possibility of balancing suitability and landscape indices in the GA application process. The final layer created through GA showed capability of considering suitability and landscape metrics simultaneously in land use planning towards achieving an optimal solution.

The topic of land and how to use it have always been the main topic of the urban planning and the space-place assessment and organizing of the efficient and urban performances is one of the most important and most effective axis urban Sustainable Development. The aim of the performance of this reseach is the quality and quantity assessment of the urban land use with constant Sustainable Development in Piranshahr. The manner of this research is analytic descriptive. To this purpose, there indicators of capacity compatibility and social justice have been used to achieve the sustainable development. In the first stage, it is paid to the quantitative assessment of existing uses and capacity index analysis, in the second stage it is paid to the qualitative assessment of use in view point of compatibility by using compatibility matrix and analysis of social justice index with the model of the nearest neighbor and swot model. The results of the quality and quantity analysis show that often efficient face with lack. This lack equals with 175.5 hectar. Also the most extent of Inconsistency is in the Usage Industry, Administrative, Residential and educational. This situation is expressive of the lack of the balance and disharmonious between the efficient that was caused by the urban planners lack enough attention. So it is essential to fit the environmental balance and economic and cultural of the urban Sustainable Development in the planning process.

Modeling urban development patterns is an important technique for understanding complex urban growth processes. In this study, Logistic Regression model was conducted to model urban growth pattern of Gorgan area in North Iran, during the period 1988-2025. To do this, remotely sensed imagery of years 1988, 1998 and 2007 were used to produce land use maps. Also, dependent and independents variables were created to perform urban growth pattern modeling. Then, urban changes were detected during 1988 – 2007 and urban change modelling was achieved using Logistic Regression. After that, future urban grow pattern was predicted. The results indicated that urban areas have increased during study time period. Validation of model results was performed using Pseudo-R2 and ROC values which were more than 0.27and 0.83 respectively. Furthermore, Logistic Regression was applied to predict urban growth patterns for the years of 2016 and 2025. According to the results, appropriate implementations are needed to control land use changes, particularly urban growth, in order to preserve environmental as well as ecological balances of the area. The result could be help the managers to monitor and prevent the unplanned urban development in future. Model’s extracted maps can be used for managing and controlling future urban development.

The objectives of this study were to investigate and to zoning desertification in a semi-arid region, khomein city using MEDALUS model. In first the study area was divided into four homogeneous land unites based on geomorphological facies. Then, based on input data in MEDALUS model, effective indicators in desertification including climate, vegetation, soil, erosion, groundwater resources and land management were selected. Then, the indices were weighted and the geometic mean was calculated and the map of each criteria was provided. The final map of desertification was prepared based on combination of all maps of each indicator.The results showed that 4.15%, 12.8%, 19.52%, 11.37%, 11.1%, 26.33%, and 14.7% of the study area are in vulnerable, low-intensity fragile, moderate intensity fragile, high intensity fragile, low-intensity critical, , moderate intensity critical, high intensity critical types, respectively.Also, investigation of desertification, relate to land use and land units exhibited that bared land and 1 and 2 land units, that has the most percent of critical type of desertification, is more capable to desertification comparing to other land use type

The appropriate locate of uses and the justice of in Spatial distribution is very significant in planning the urban land use. The high increase in physical and population development of city, the shortage of services uses and lack of equity to allocate the sorts of land uses in various areas in Kashan, cause the confusion in urban land use and endanger the city sustainable development. However , recognizing and revising each one of the city uses to achieve the appropriate criteria and the principles of planning in city sustainable development are the most important activities in this field. The method to the research is descriptive -analytic, which has engaged in assessing and evaluating the quality and quantity of urban uses in Kashan, by considering two significant and effective standards in land use (including capacity and social justice)and putting GIS software into operation in the framework of entropy standard model and the average of nearest neighbor and per capita standard. The results of the research indicate that uses do not have appropriate Spatial and locative distribution, so that analyzing them with the capacity indexes and social justice, indicates the quality and quantity commotion in uses of tenfold areas in Kashan.

Balancing in territories settlements, especially in the urban systems, is important for spatial planning. According to studies carried out in a non-equilibrium state of the urban system and the primacy phenomenon is evident at national and regional levels in Iran. The purpose of this paper is to explore the urban hierarchy of Qom province, especially in the course of time. This study, is descriptive and analytical method and developmental research by purpose. Documentary methods have been used for data collection. In order to analyze the urban system has been used many indicators (primacy, two city, Mehta, Moomaw&Alwosabi, Kinsburg, scattering coefficient, Herfindahl, Shannon entropy, size- rank and improved size-rank). The results show province of Qom has 6 city that all cities don’t have record high urbanization except the city of Qom. Also, all indicators show that the city of Qom has the strongest urban prime rate, concentration and imbalance. Even become the province of Qom and the formation of new urban areas couldn't reduce imbalances.

Before creating a free zone in the Qeshm Island, the indicators of development (social, economic, physical and environmental), the lowest value was found. Nowadays, these indicators increase in this island. This research study the role of Qeshm in Iran Census in urban development, and social security in Qeshm examined, Method of research is descriptive – analytical. The results suggest that the creation of social development indicators like education Qeshm, population and economic indicators such as the expansion of commercial markets, docks, customs, employment trends have been growing, despite the positive effects of creating, bottom of these crimes in the future urban structure of Qeshm is also ineffective acknowledges it is 50 percent of respondents to the insecurity situation in the city of Qeshm in the future will increase relative to the status Qeshm.

In this article, the “urban network and inter connected area “ was introduced as an approach to add the spatial and location dimensions to current regional planning practices. With inquiry of theoretical framework of those approach, this article is going to try to show the weakness of traditional method about hierarchical clustering of settlement. Also applying new approach about Qom province and determination of hierarchical clustering of settlements in this province is another purpose of this article. Outcomes of the article show that new approach with special highlight on spatial and location factors is precise method in relation to tradition method.
