Sivas İlindeki Bazı Süt İşletmelerine Gelen Sütlerin Ağır Metal İçeriklerinin Belirlenmesi

Bu araştırmada Sivas ve yöresinde bulunan 5 süt fabrikasının depo tankından temin edilen 50 adet süt örneğinde ağır metallerden kadmiyum (Cd), bakır (Cu), krom (Cr) ve kurşun (Pb) içerikleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda süt örneklerinin Cd, Cu ve Cr içeriklerinin sırasıyla 8,896, 33,69 ve 31,81 µg/kg düzeyinde olduğu saptanmıştır. Süt örneklerin %92’inde Pb miktarının tespit edilebilir limitin altında, %8’inde ise 304,1-503,4 µg/kg olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Food waste and loss is an ecological, economic and social problem. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization states that approximately one third of all edible foods produced for human consumption are wasted or lost after harvest. The aim of this study is to determine the factors affecting food waste behavior of consumers. In order to reach this aim, a questionnaire was conducted with 583 people in November and December of 2018 in Çorum province. The obtained data were analyzed and explained through Structural Equation Models. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, a 5-factor structure explaining 76,612% of the total variance was obtained. These factors were named as norm, intention, result awareness, purchasing behavior and planning. These factors were found to have validity, reliability and internal consistency. In addition, it was investigated whether the factors were compatible with the fit indices by means of Confirmatory Factor Analysis. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, it was determined that the obtained factors met the fit indices values. As a result of Confirmatory Factor Analysis, it was determined that the obtained factors met the fit index values. The effect of the factors on the relationship between each other and the waste behavior were measured by means of the path analysis. As a result of this study, although consumers have positive statements regarding consequence awareness, intent and norms, they have been determined to be unstable in planning and purchasing. Besides, although there was a direct effect of intent and result awareness on waste behavior, it was determined that planning and norms had indirect effects. Considering that the intention is the most influential factor on waste behavior, it should be focused on the activities that will create result awareness in society.

Soil moisture has a vital role in the cultivation of crops. Its sufficiency and availability to crop- water supplies depends on the management practices of soil and amount of available water to the soil. This study examines the influence of rice husk biochar on the water holding capacity of soil in the savannah ecological zone of Ghana. Increasing rate of rice husk biochar increased water-holding capacity of soils. 4t/ha rice husk biochar showed higher significant differences among the treatments. It is recommended that 4t/ha rice husk biochar should be applied to increase the water-holding capacity of the soil.

Strawberry is one of the most preferred fruits all over the world due to its characteristic properties. Due to the morphological structure of fresh strawberries after harvesting, quality losses are observed during cold storage. Therefore, industrial washing of fresh strawberries is especially important for reducing microbial load and increasing shelf life. Demand for the new methods as an alternative to the chemicals used in industrial washing of fruits and vegetables is increasing due to consumer-related health concerns. Ultrasonic washing is a preferred innovative method in terms of reducing the microbial load and maintaining quality properties compared to chemical washing processes. In this study, fresh strawberries were washed with ultrasound (550 W/35 kHz) and peroxyacetic acid (40 ppm) after harvesting. The pH, total acidity, water soluble dry matter (brix), vitamin C, total phenolic content, antioxidant capacity, total viable, mold and yeast count analyses were performed in every two days during 14 days of cold storage of washed strawberries. Ultrasonic washing was found to be more effective in reducing microbial load and preserving bioactive properties of strawberries compared to other method due to its cavitation effect.

Çalışma, bazı nohut çeşitlerine (Aydın 92, Azkan ve Gökçe) organik (gül posası, ahır gübresi ve bakteri aşılama) ve kimyasal gübre uygulamalarının verim ve verim öğeleri üzerine etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla Dinar/Afyonkarahisar' da 2011 yılında yürütülmüştür. Deneme tesadüf bloklarında bölünmüş parseller deneme düzenine göre 3 tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Araştırmada bitki boyu, ilk bakla yüksekliği, bitkide dal, bakla ve tane sayısı, bitki tane ağırlığı, biomas verimi, tane verimi, hasat indeksi, 100 tane ağırlığı ve protein oranı özellikleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, bitki boyu 38,87-44,23 cm, ilk meyvenin yüksekliği 17,37-21,43 cm, bitki dal sayısı 2,70-3,53 adet, bitkide bakla sayısı 30,37-50,37 adet, bitkide tane sayısı 29,43-48,47 adet, bitki tane verimi 10,50-18,30 g, bitki ağırlığı 20,87-42,50 g, yüz tane ağırlığı 34,67-40,43 g, tane verimi 128,1-188,6 kg/da, hasat indeksi %32,10-53,08 ve protein oranı %22,67-25,67 arasında değişim göstermiştir. Sonuç olarak organik (gül posası, ahır gübresi ve bakteri aşılama) ve kimyasal gübre uygulamalarının nohut çeşitleri üzerindeki etkisi verim özellikleri yönünden önemli olmuştur. Tüm çeşitler içerisinde Gökçe çeşidi ve uygulamalar içerisinde ahır gübresi, kimyasal gübreleme ve gül posası ön plana çıkmaktadır.

Public health around the globe is still under the major threats and of some serious infectious diseases though a marvelous progress carried out in the field of human medicines. Therefore, use of products from natural sources as medicinal agent probably antecede in human history. The advancement and knowledge of various useful plants and their properties, functions and its use over synthetic drugs has increased in recent years. Bauhinia variegata L. (Kachnar) is an ornamental flowering plant within the Leguminosae family. Hairy branches of the plant are widely used in various traditional remedies to cure vast range of disease infections. Several plant portions, like roots, stem and stem bark, leaves, buds and flowers, are not only popular in different disease treatment but also useful in the manufacture of fibers, gum and to conserve the nature. The phytochemical screening exposed that B. variegata consist of various important secondary metabolites like flavonoids, terpenoids, cardiac glycosides and steroids, saponins and tannins compounds that are appropriate to be used in the treatment of various biological activities, such as antibacterial, antidiabetic, antitumor, antimicrobial, anticancer, antiulcer, anticarcinogenic effects, anti-inflammatory, nephro and hepatoprotective effects and wound healing effect. The current review is to demonstrate the medicinal, nutritional and biological importance of B. variegata as multidimensional effects on various diseases.

Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull.: Fr.) Murr. is popularly known as “sulphur polypore” or “chicken of the woods” due to its characteristic sulphur yellow coloured polypore’s and chicken-like taste and texture. This edible wild mushroom has been traditionally consumed as a source of nutrition and folk medicine in Asia and Europe for a long time. The numerous studies have shown that L. sulphureus nutritionally provides various key components such as carbohydrate, essential amino acids and fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and fibre. Besides, the extracts prepared from fruiting bodies or mycelia of this mushroom have exhibited a number of medicinal properties such as immunomodulation, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antihyperglysemic activities because of their biologically active components such as phenolics, triterpenes, and polysaccharides. L. sulphureus is also a suitable candidate to be used as a natural food preserving source.

Encapsulation is a technology applied to cover an active material with various materials. In the food industry, encapsulation techniques are applied to protect sensitive components against environmental factors, increase bioavailability of nutrients, controlled release and mask flavor and odor. Nanocapsules are obtained when the size of the obtained encapsulated materials is less than 1 μm. There are many methods for the production of nanocapsules, which are classified as lipid formulation-based nanoencapsulation technologies, natural nanocarrier-based nanoencapsulation technologies, specialized equipment based nanoencapsulation technologies, biopolymer nanoparticle-based nanoparticle technologies and other nanoencapsulation technologies. In this review, information on these technologies used in the nanoencapsulation of food components in accordance with this classification is presented.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, fertigasyon uygulamalarında farklı gübreleme zamanlarının (her sulamada gübre: H.S.G., her ikinci sulamada gübre: H.İ.S.G., her üçüncü sulamada gübre: H.Ü.S.G.) ve mikoriza uygulamalarının biber bitkisinin verimine ve besin elementleri alımına olan etkilerini araştırmaktır. Araştırma Çukurova Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Toprak Bilimi ve Bitki Besleme Bölümü’ne ait araştırma ve deneme alanında, tarla koşullarında, iki yıl süreyle ve üç tekerrürlü olarak yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada fertigasyon uygulaması geleneksel yöntem ile karşılaştırmalı olarak yapılmış, test bitkisi olarak biber ve mikoriza türü olarak Glomus caledonium kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada biber bitkisinin verimi ile yaprakların azot (N), fosfor (P), potasyum (K), demir (Fe), çinko (Zn), mangan (Mn) ve bakır (Cu) konsantrasyonları belirlenmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular, birinci yılda en yüksek verimin fosfor uygulanmış ve mikoriza aşılanmış her ikinci sulamada gübre uygulamasından elde edildiğini ortaya koymuştur (2809 kg/da). İkinci yılda ise, 2113 kg/da ile fosfor uygulanmayan mikoriza aşılanmış bitkilerde her sulamada gübre uygulamasında belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, her sulamada gübre uygulaması diğer uygulamalarla karşılaştırıldığında, biber bitkisinin P konsantrasyonunu önemli ölçüde artırmıştır. Araştırmada genel olarak, mikoriza aşılanmış bitkilerin aşılanmamış bitkilerden daha yüksek verim ve besin elementi alımına sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Among all other agricultural products, cotton has an important place in terms of added value contribution and a wide usage variety in different industries. Turkey was the 7th largest fiber cotton producer in the world by the time period of 2016/17 with a production amount of 703000 tons which provides 3.05% of the total global cotton production. Hatay city is one of the important cities in terms of cotton production. The province holds 10.32% of cotton production areas and provides 10.84% of the cottonseed and fiber cotton productions in Turkey. In the enterprises which were examined, input amounts that were used to produce 5.29 tons Raw cotton were as follows; 26.2 kg seed, 648.8 kg fertilizer, 8.5 lt agricultural pesticide, 404.9 lt diesel fuel, 6417.1 kw electricity, and 26.7 manpower. In terms of irrigation and harvest methods, 71.45% of the enterprises were using the surface irrigation method, and 58.38% of them used the machinery harvest method. Within the research area, subsidy excluded income per unit area was found as 2447.24 USD/ha and subsidy included income was found as 3529.39 USD/ha. It was found that, agricultural subsidies increase the income per unit area at a level of 44.22%, and deficiency payments have the biggest share in this contribution (1052.97 USD/ha).
