Conservation agriculture is a concept which defines different farming systems. Its implementation depends on soil properties, climate and socio-economic considerations. Since two thousands, no-till technology; which is one facet of the conservation agriculture has begun to take place in the high plains of Sétif province-Algeria. Its adoption is facing several problems of socio-economic and technical issues. This work monitored the track of no-till adoption within a sample of 28 farmers during two years 2014 and 2016. During 2014 farmers were supported financially and technically through a subsidy program that aimed at the support of conservation agriculture via no-till technique. In 2016, the subsidy program has ended; hence, farmers have no longer incentives. Multivariate statistical analyses were performed to diagnose the evolution of no-till adoption and behavior’s farmers between the two periods. In 2016, results showed an increase of no-till area, even though, the drop of the number of adoptive farmers by 71%. The main reasons for adopting no-till according to the adoptive farmers were the minimization of farming operation costs and saving time. However, the major impediments facing no-till adoption; were the rise of weeding charges and the concern of weed infestation especially by bromus.sp, which is a vigorous prevalent weed, which locally developed some pesticide’s resistance. Also, the excessive use of pesticides may be considered as an environmental reason for no adopting no-till.

Renewable energy interest is increasing day by day due to the progressive decline of fossil fuels and negative effects on the environment. As is known, generating energy using solar energy is the most popular of renewable energy source applications. One of the reasons for this is that the sun, which is the source of all the energy in the world, will give energy for a very long time. Another important reason is the rapid developments in semiconductor electronics technology. Direct solar water heating with solar collector, power generation without photovoltaic panels, and even power generation with concentrated parabolic systems. In this research, electricity is generated by solar panels used in a traditional plateau house, photovoltaic solar batteries from solar energy and electricity stored in battery benches and electricity stored in the battery is converted to mains electricity through an inverter if necessary. Saving electric elements at home are selected, and the minimum power required for basic needs is provided. In addition, the economics of the designed system was investigated and efficiency analysis was carried out considering the energy efficiency at the optimum level.

Bu çalışmada, Kahramanmaraş’taki tarım arazilerinde bulunan Bacillus sp. izolatlarının antimikrobiyal aktivite özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Toplanan tarım arazisi toprak örneklerinden Bacillus izolasyonu yapılmıştır. Bu izolatlar morfolojik ve biyokimyasal olarak tanımlanmıştır. Farklı karbon kaynaklarındaki (glukoz, fruktoz ve sakkaroz) Bacillus izolatlarının ve referans Bacillus türlerinin bazı bakterilere ve patojenik mayaya (Candida albicans) karşı antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri disk difüzyon yöntemine göre araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, çalışmada kullanılan Bacillus izolatlarının sekonder metabolitleri test edilen mikroorganizmaların gelişmelerini değişik oranlarda engellemiştir (1-25,2 mm inhibisyon zonu). Üç izolat (Bacillus sp. B6, B13 ve B43) yüksek antibakteriyel aktivite göstermiştir. Bacillus sp. B6, Bacillus sp. B13 ve Bacillus sp. B43’ün, kullanılan tüm karbon kaynaklarında Candida albicans’a karşı (Bacillus sp. B6-sakkaroz hariç) antifungal sekonder metabolitleri ürettiği belirlenmiştir. Daha da önemlisi karbon kaynağı olarak fruktoz kullanıldığında Bacillus sp. B13 (1-11,67 mm inhibisyon zonu) ve Bacillus sp. B43’ün (1,4-19 mm inhibisyon zonu) tüm patojen mikroorganizmalara karşı antibakteriyel ve antifungal etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

This study was conducted to determine the Listeria monocytogenes’s presence, serotypes and resistance against various antibiotics in modified atmosphere packaged (MAP) ground and cubed beef samples. Five of ground (5/50-10%) and 3 of cubed beef samples (3/50-6%) were identified as L. monocytogenes positive in MAP samples. Eleven L. monocytogenes isolates that obtained from samples being investigated in term of hlyA gene by PCR method have verified that this gene (100%). In serotyping results, 3 of 8 isolate that obtained from MAP ground beef samples were 1/2a, the other 3 isolate was 1/2b and the remaining 2 isolate was 4b. Also, 1 of 3 isolate that obtained from MAP cubed beef samples were 1/2b, the other one isolate was 1/2c and the last one was 4b. One isolate against (9%) ampicillin, 2 isolate against (18.2%) chloramphenicol, 3 isolate against (27.2%) erythromycin, 4 isolate against (36.3%) oxytetracycline and 4 isolate against (36.3%) penicillin G, 6 isolate against (54.5%) tetracycline and 3 isolate against (27.2%) vancomycin was resistant in 11 L. monocytogenes isolates that confirmed by PCR. The L. monocytogenes isolates were found to be resistant to one or more antibiotics in antibiotic-resistance test results. In conclusion, applying of national residue monitoring program by official authority for prevention of intensive antibiotic use in order to prevent the development of resistant strains to antibiotics has great importance.

Parametric approaches in statistical analysis assume that any given data are normally distributed. Therefore, the test of whether this conventional assumption is valid should be made in this context of the available data’s normality before being passed to the application of statistical tests. The paper is focused on the normality methodologies commonly used in literature, named Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Jarque-Bera, D’agostino, Anderson Darling, Shapiro-Wilk and Ryan Joiner. In the study, the seasonal maximum data from eight streamflow gauging stations in Yesilirmak Basin was used as material. The normality in the 59% of the whole data sets were obtained as the highest result by the Kolmogorov –Smirnov approach, when compared to the other normality tests considered in the study.

İnsan beslenmesinde önemli bir yere sahip olan tarımsal ürünlerin yetiştiriciliğinde kullanılan hormon, ilaç, gübre gibi kimyasal girdiler sağlığı olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu nedenle günümüzde, toprağa ve bitkiye zarar veren kimyasal maddeler yerine bitkilerin ihtiyacı olan ve insan sağlığını olumsuz yönde etkilemeyen organik gübre ve doğal ilaçlama yöntemleri geliştirilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Organik tarım, insanların sağlıklı beslenmesinin yanı sıra toprak verimliliğini artıracak her türlü organik artıkların değerlendirilmesi ve tarımda devamlılığın sağlanması açısından büyük önem arz etmektedir. Özellikle ayçiçeği bitkisinin tüm kısımlarında %63,9 potasyum (K2O), %21,7 azot (N) ve %14,4 fosfor (P2O5) besin elementleri bulunduğundan, ayçiçeği yetiştiriciliği yapılan yerlerde hasat sonrası arazide kalan belirli miktarda sap ve köklerin toprağa karıştırılarak yeşil gübre olarak kullanılması pratikte uygulanabilecek en önemli yöntemlerden biridir. Ayrıca hasat sonrası geriye kalan sap, tabla gibi kısımlar, yakacak olarak değerlendirilirken, yanma sonucu elde edilen ve yüksek oranda potasyum bulunan külleri tarlaya serpilerek organik gübre olarak da değerlendirilebilmektedir. Bu derlemede; özellikle ülkemizde organik madde yönünden fakir olan araziler için bir kenara atılarak heba edilen ve çevre kirliliğine neden olan ayçiçeği hasat artıklarının organik hammadde olarak kullanılması, organik ürün elde edilmesi yönünde çiftçilerin bilinçlendirilmesi ve bu şekilde ülke ekonomisine sağlayabileceği konular ele alınmıştır.

Chronic diseases progress slowly and generally cause symptoms in middle age onward. It is widely known that there is a close link between diets and chronic diseases in human. Foods which have specific target functions and preventive impacts on human health as well as their basic nutritional effects are defined as functional foods. These foods may decrease risk for chronic diseases due to having health preventive impacts on human health. Milk is an useful baverage for during childhood and adolescence because of its macro and micro nutrients. Milk composition is affected by mainly genetic, nutrition, season, lactation stage etc. Therefore, there are some differences in milk components between organic and conventional milk because of especially heredities of herds and nutrition. Seasonal variations in pasture, amount of grains and forages (fresh or conserved) cause changes in milk fatty acid composition of organic and conventional milk. Furthermore, organic production regulations limit the use of starch-based concentrates and supplements; therefore, some nutrients’ concentrations (protein, thiamine, vitamin B1 and B2, I etc) in organic milk may be expected to be lower than those of conventional milk. In this paper, organic and conventional milk components have been reviewed in term of functional milk.

In this study, it was aimed to examine of socio-economic structure of farmers related to organic olive cultivation activity in Gökçeada district of Çanakkale province in Turkey and to determine the knowledge level and approaches towards their organic agriculture. The data of the present study were obtained by survey from 121 farms related to organic olive cultivation determined by using the whole counting method. Data cover the production period in 2016-2017. Descriptive statistics and 5-point Likert-type scale was used to analyse the data. According to the results of study, it was found that the average age of farmers was 53.6 years, the average year of schooling of farmers was 7.5, the average household size was 3.7 persons, the average experience of farmers in organic olive cultivation was also 8.3 years and 10.7% of the farmers had the highest income (50.001₺-60.000₺). Furthermore, the most consciousness level about organic agriculture was determined as ''not use hazardous chemicals for nature and health in organic agriculture'' concept for farmers that make organic olive cultivation. As a result, this study is expected to contribute the development of district's economy and to rural development.

Çalışma hayvansal ürün üreticilerine verilen devlet destekleri ile ürünlerin üretim miktarı arasındaki ilişkiyi süt ve dana eti örneğinde incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla Türkiye için, 1986-2016 yılları arası veriye dayanarak süt ve dana eti için ayrı ayrı denklemlerle hata düzeltme modelleri tahmin edilmiştir. Eşbütünleme ilişkisinden kısa dönem Granger nedensellik ilişkilerine bakıldığında, süt üretim denkleminde değişkenler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir nedensellik ilişkisi bulunamamıştır. Dana eti üretim denkleminde ise tüm değişkenler arasında çift yönlü Granger anlamda nedensellik bulunmuştur. Uzun dönem katsayılar incelendiğinde, süt üretim seviyesi ile piyasa fiyat farklılaşması arasında negatif, üretici destekleri ile pozitif bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. Öte yandan dana eti üretimi ile piyasa fiyat farklılaşması arasında pozitif ancak üretici destekleri ile negatif bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. Bulgular gerek parasal üretici desteklerinin gerekse de parasal destek dışındaki dış ticaret düzenlemesi gibi politikaların ürün türüne göre farklılaştırılması gerektiği düşüncesini desteklemektedir. Nanoteknolojik yöntemlerle nano boyuta indirgenen metal partiküller temelde biyomedikal ve fizikokimya olmak üzere eczacılık, elektrik-elektronik, otomotiv sanayi, gıda sanayi gibi pek çok farklı alanda karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Fiziksel, kimyasal ve biyolojik olmak üzere üç farklı üretim yöntemi bulunan nanopartiküller ağırlıklı olarak kimyasal yöntemlerle üretilmektedir. Ancak fiziksel ve kimyasal yöntemler yüksek sıcaklık, yüksek basınç ve toksik kimyasalların kullanımını gerektirdiği için çevre dostu ve ekonomik değildir. Bu nedenle yeşil teknoloji olarak da adlandırılan, çevre dostu ve sürdürülebilir bir yaklaşım olan biyolojik yöntemlerle metal nanopartiküllerin üretimine olan ilgi son yıllarda artmıştır. Bazı bitki ekstraktlarıyla ve mikroorganizmaların hücre içi ve hücre dışı salgılarıyla birtakım indirgenme reaksiyonları gerçekleşmekte ve metal nanopartikülleri üretilmektedir. Bakteriler doğadaki çeşitlilikleri, kolay izole edilebilir olmaları ve nanopartikül üretimindeki kolaylıkları sebebiyle son yıllarda etkin birer nano fabrika görevi görmektedirler. Bu makalede, metal nanopartiküllerin bakteriyel yöntemlerle üretimleri ve uygulama alanları derlenmiştir.
