The effects of four hormones and three kinds of media on the rooting of cacao cuttings was studied. The combination of top soil +IBA was very effective for root formation. There was a greater number of roots produced from the use of IBA + NAA than with NAA alone. Both top soil and central core favourably influenced the length and number roots. A positive correlation was found between the number of leaves on the cuttings and the number of roots formed
