Phytochrome changes in hypocotyls of light grown mustard seedlings (Sinapis alba L.) and the phytochrome destruction in cotyledons of etiolated plants have been analysed as influenced by exogenous gibberellic acid (GA(,3)). The rate of phytochrome appearance in hypocotyls was decreased after GA(,3) treatment. Destruction of phytochrome in cotyledons of etiolated seedlings was also observed in the hypocotyls of light grown seedlings.
