Evaluation of nutrients distribution in tomato plant (Lycopersicum esculentum L.) during two states of its vegetable cycle

It is studied the mineral content in stalk, leaf and bud when flowering and at the beginning of the fructification in tomato plants grown in glass-houses with an inert support of quartz sand and Hoagland and Snyder nutritive solution. The bud is the part of the plant which in the two vegetative states studied, has the greatest N and P content while it is the leaf which has the greatest Ca, Mg and Na content. In the different aerial parts of the plant, an accumulation of elements during the fructification is produced with regard to flowering time. The utilization quotients of the different elements are minor when fructification time
