Two hundred hectares of a farmland area adjacent to a phosphate fertilizer plant were investigated for the presence of fluorine and sulphur in plant and soil. Fluorine content differed from crop to crop and in some crops amounts toxic to animals were found. Sulphur content in the emission affected area did not depart from average countrywide values
