Carbendazim was not effective, but CGA 49104 at 6 and 4 g ai/kg seed is either form effectively reduced B1 intensity and increased yield. However, CGA 49104 was not effective in another experiment where seedlings of Thapachini, a local B1-susceptible variety, were dipped in 125, 250, and 800 ppm concentrations each for 8, 4 and 2 hr before transplanting
