Establishment of trichoderma on rice and on grain legumes [cowpea, mungbean] after rice in the field
1984
Usmani, S.M.H. | Mew, T.W.
Trichoderma could not establish in the soil from the seeds coated with the spores. At low concentrations, Trichoderma spp. showed no injurious effects on growth of rice, cowpea and mungbean. Since the disease incidence was very low in the fields, therefore definite conclusions can not be drawn as whether Trichoderma can effectively control the disease. In the greenhouse, only T. glaucum out of 5 Trichoderma spp. could control Sclerotium root rot in cowpea and mungbean. Among the Trichoderma spp. only Trichoderma aure oviride showed coiling around Rhizoctonia solani indicating its potential as an effective antagonist of the pathogen
