A new erect type, high oil content and high yielding peanut variety "Shinpung"

This study was done to investigate a new erect type, high oil content and high yielding peanut variety "Shinpung". This variety was developed from the cross between Ped 393-6-3-2-2-3-1-2 and Florigiant/Chibahandachi made in 1972. This variety had a high oil content of 52.9 percent and protein of 26.7 percent as medium seeds of 55.1g/100 kernels weight, and out-yielded by 15% than check variety "Youngho"
