A study of the characteristic vegetation of Barisal [Bangladesh] on the basis of T-E and P-E indexes

In the present paper T-E and P-E index for Barisal are determined. It has been found that these indexes vary randomly during the observed years (1950-1979). Following Thornthwaite, it is established that for most of the years the characteristic vegetation of Barisal is forest. It is observed that P-E index and T-E ratio vary linearly with precipitation and average temperature respectively
