Study on feeding values by some varieties of green rape, 2; chemical composition and digestibility

This experiment was to investigate the possibility for utilizing rape as green fodder and its nutritive value. Proximate analysis and digestion trials were conducted at the growing period (Mar 10), bolting period (Mar 30), blooming period (Apr 20) and peak blooming period (May 10). Digestibility of crude protein, crude fat, NFE and crude fiber at the blooming period was 87.9%, 58.0%, 90.1% and 58.5%, respectively. Content of DCP and TDN at the blooming period was 25.2% and 73.9%, respectively
