In the apiary of the Agricultural Research Station of Chalcidice a research study was carried out on nosema disease of bees during the years 1974-77. In the study the usage of the antibiotic fumidil B in different periods of the year for the control of nosema disease of bees was examined. The results showed that a statistically significant difference(t0.05) existed between the fumidil B treatments of autumn and those of spring and control. The best results in controlling Nosema disease were succeded when the fumidil B treatment took place during autumn. However more succesful results were obtained when fumidil B treatment was applied again and in spring. Also the results indicated that application of fumidil B only during spring did not succesfully protect the bee colonies from nosema disease
