Effect of leaf area on the growth and yield of Basrai banana

An experiment was carried out to study the effect of leaf removal in Basrai banana and it was observed that as the number of leaves per plant increased, the weight of the bunch was progressively increased. The maximum weight of the bunch was recorded from control treatment where no leaves were removed. However, there was no significant difference as far as the chemical quality of the fruit was concerned
