The influence of paclobutrazol on the growth and flowering of potte d gladiolus (Gladiolus gandavensis)

Studies with paclobutrazol treatment were conducted on pot-grown Gladiolus gandavensis. Although there was difference in the effect as cultivars (cv.) varied, the flowering rate was increased more when treated at 4-leaf stage than the 2-leaf, and more with foliar spray than soil drench. Plant height for cv. Spic and Span showed almost no difference in it. Soil drench of paclobutrazol had more dwarfing influence than the foliar application, and higher concentration of it had the more influence than the lower
