Three years of survey was conducted to determine the effects of the four phases of the moon on bollworm oviposition behavior and show that peak oviposition were on the full moon. Egg counts started to decline between the full moon and the last quarter, and the larvae of the bollworms started to infest the terminal leaves and squares of the cotton plants
