The effect of missing hills on the agronomic measurements taken from its adjacent hills in field experiments on flue-cured tobacco
1984
Farpale, V.G. | Simeon, E.R. | Sagisi, F.D.
Tobacco plants immediately adjacent to a hill missing at 5 and 20 DAT have significantly broader leaves than the control. However, these plants had no significant differences in yield except on PFT-3 (NCBY) at 30 DAT. The other parameters (i.e., number of harvestable leaves, grade index and crop value) were unaffected. In general, plants immediately adjacent to missing hills may still be induced as sample plants, since their yields are not significantly different from fully competitive hills (control)
