Investigations on some properties of circulating blood of heifers after their moving from the calf-house to the heifer-house under farm conditions

Blood samples were taken from 20 heifers that had been moved in the 6 month of age from calf-house to heifer house. After the moving of heifers in the blood samples significant reduction of eosinocyte count, increase of the cortisol concentration and decrease of the sugar content were found. These changes indicate the disturbances in biochemical properties of the blood caused by the stress situation
