BA applied to lateral buds of 30-45 day old shoots with terminal buds decapitated, and treatment with ethephon on terminal buds of 45 day old shoots resulted in the nonsignificant different number of shoots originating from lateral buds of 2, 2 and 1,5 respectively. Terminal bud growth in both shoots, decapitation caused complete inhititing effect.
