Influence of charging of vine grape with fruit bearing buds and mode of soil maintainance in vineyard on some biological and technological characteristics of Vranac variety under irrigation

The influence of varied burdening of a grape vine with fruitfull fruit bearing buds and of land cultivation in vine yards on some biological and technological properties of "Vranac" variety under irrigation conditions were investigated, as well as the optimum burdening with fruit bearing buds that ensures a high yield of grapes and the good quality of grape and wine. The largest number of inflorescences per fruit bearing bud, tendril and fruitfull tendril was at grassy areas; the lowest was at cultivated ones, being higher each year at grassy areas, in relation to the grassless, non-cultivated ones, and still higher at the latter than at the cultivated ones. The highest productivity of fruit bearing buds in all 3 ways of land keeping was with the burdening of 13 fruit bearing buds. From grassy areas were picked 17,11 more grapes than from the cultivated ones and 7,83 more than from the grassless, noncultivated ones. With the increase of burdening of 10-18 fruit bearing buds per grape vine the yield of grapes increased also. At grassy and grassless uncultivated areas the yield from the experimental plot was higher by 3,60 i.e. 3,07 kg in relation to the cultivated ones. The increase of yield was not in proportion with the increase of burdening of fruit bearing buds. With this increase of burdening the average weight of a bunch of grapes decreased. The average weight of a bunch of grapes at grassless, uncultivated areas was by 18 g higher than at the cultivated ones, and by 12 g higher than at the grassy ones. The sugar percentage in must did not vary notably under the influence of investigated factors. Under the influence of varied burdening of grape vines with fruit bearing buds the acids in grape juice varied within very narrow scopes, depending more and more on the way of land keeping and on the year. The influence of burdening affected the exuberance of the vine.
