"Smederevka" variety has a good affinity for famous grape bases and with them satisfies requirements for the first class grafts. However, on Kober 5 BB appears great closeness of grapes, which is not desirable for consumption in fresh condition. Maybe, on some other base the grape would be not so compact. This variety characterises by early bud opening and late bunch of grape and lineage ripening. Rankness of its vines is rather big, especially on bases "berlandieri", "Riparia", Kober 5 BB. It must be not burdened before cutting for its great fruitfulness and productivity. It gives good yields of high quality if it is properly raised. Its grape juice, in ecological conditions of SR Serbia (SFRY) has regulary high share of total acids, and is very good for must and wine improvement of other varieties that are missing it. It is more sensitive to the downy mildew of wine (Plasmopara viticola) and vine mildew (Uncinula necator) than to gray mildew (Oidium tuckeri). Also, it is sensitive to shortage of soil moisture content and high air temperature. Its sensitivity to a strong winter frost is especially great.
