Proteose-peptone and non-protein nitrogen contents of milk from different breeds of goat

Proteose-peptone contents of milk from Betel, Alpine, Sannan x Betel (50 x 50), Alpine x Sannan x Betel (50 x 25 x 25), Sannan x Alpine x Betel (50 x 25 x 25), and Alpine x Betel (50 x 50) goats were found to be 85.8, 88.2, 95.5, 92.8, 90.0 and 93.0 mg/100 ml of milk, respectively. Proteose-peptone content of milk from Betel exhibited an increase in its level on being crossed with Sannan (50 x 50). Non protein nitrogen and other fractions like proteose and peptone in milk also showed a similar trend
