Performance of important chilli varieties under rainfed conditions

CA 960 recorded significantly higher ripe pod yield due to higher number of pods and field resistance to fruit-rot, leaf-curl and wilt diseases. This was followed by jwala with susceptible reaction to leaf-curl. Despite the favourable trend in plant and pod characters, CA 1068 recorded significantly lower yield due to its susceptibility (11.3%) to fruit-rot incidence
