Khurana, S.R. | Yadav, T.P. (Haryana Agricultural Univ., Hisar (India). Directorate of Reasearch)
The influence of three fertility managements (low, medium and high) on mean values of harvest index of 55 diverse soybean genotypes was studied for two kharif seasons 1977 and 1978 at the Research farm of Haryana Agril. University, Hissar to assess the extent of improvement in harvest index which may serve as a potential indicator of seed yield. The study revealed that under medium fertility, management (N40 P80 K40 kg/ha) the response of the genotypes was higher compared to both low (N20 P40 K20 kg/ha) and high fertility (N60 P120 K60 kg/ha) managements. The study also revealed that high harvest index of a genotype is not related to its high yielding ability
