Rate of growth, length, and diameter of one and two fruits among treatments were comparable. But the weight of one fruit in a panicle was significantly heavier than the two fruits per panicle. The rate of growth, weight, length, diameter, and sugar content of chico fruit decreased as intensity of defoliation increased
