Technology of chips harvesting with minimal content of needles in selective cuttings

A new alternative technology of chip harvesting with minimal content of needles enables work mechanization in selective thinning in stands of age class 1b - 2. Limbing decreases labour consumption, simplifies logging storage and chipping of wood. In comparison with the so far applied technologies the new one does not cause greater damage in the remaining stand than traditional thinning methods. This new technology is characterized by better technical, economic and ergonomic indices
