Electrophoretic pattern of cathodal protein fractions in blood of worker adult bees, Apis mellifera

Over 10 protein fractions migrating to the cathode were demonstrated in the blood of adult bee workers. No essential differences in the number and type of the fractions were found in bee workers inoculated with various foreign materials. Some problems of insect immunity, including the role of lysozyme in humoral immunity, were discussed
