In result of irrigation the content of nitrogen in the plants analysed (except papilionaceous) decreased while that of phosphorus slightly increased. Increasing nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium doses brought about increased uptake and utilization of the macrocomponents. Irrigation irrespective of fertilization level increased the uptake of phosphorus by 51% and that of potassium - by 42% in relation to non-irrigated treatments. In all the plants the productiveness of mineral fertilization decreased along with increasing doses of fertilizers while irrigation brought about its increase from 0 to 40% according to a plant and fertilization level
