1986
Mohammed, S. | Shabana, H.R. | Benjamin, N.D. (Agriculture and Water Resources Research Centre, Baghdad (Iraq). Dept. of Date Palm)
Gibberellic acid (GA) at 50, 100 and 150 ppm was applied to the fruit bunches of date palm cvs. Zahdi and Sayer 12-14 weeks after full bloom and pollination. There was no significant improvement (P = 0.05) in length, diameter, weight, volume or pulp weight of fruits except for length in Zahdi at 150 ppm. Moisture content of Zahdi fruit increased with GA application but the total soluble solids was not influenced. Total and reducing sugars contents were increased with GA application
