Microbiological analyses of agricultural land in Slavonia and Baranja (Yugoslavia) over the 1978-1983 period revealed the presence of phytoparasitic nematodes of 43 genera with 71 species determined among them. The most frequent nematodes, regarding their quality composition, have been found in vine rhizosphere (24 genera), then in soils covered with grasses (22 genera), with sugar beet, soybean and barley (18 genera), with wheat (15 genera) etc. Among phytoparasitic nematodes there were vector viruses and species attacking plants together with microorganisms. Special crop rotation and other agricultural engineering measures are recommended.
