Dry corn cob, produced in the process of maize drying, can be used very successfully as a new and efficient fuel, to substitute expensive energy used until now. At the present moment, a lot of acknowledged technical solutions for corn cob burning have, more or less, certain disadvantages, and are not technically quite secure in practise. In this situation, burning of corn cob in hot-water kettles, and producing hot air for indirect drying through the converter, proves to be a reliable and technically good solution. Somewhat lesser economic effects, due to negative energy balance caused by energy spending for the chopping of fuel, and indirect method of hot air using, are counterbalanced by the highest security which this solution provides at this moment
