This paper presents the results of a three-years investigation into physical and chemical indicators of waters in the river Bojana (Yugoslavia). These waters upstream of Fraskanjelo have significantly lower content of organic substances than in the part of flow to the mouth of the sea. Inorganic load is significantly higher downstream of Fraskanjelo to the mouth of the sea as the result of inflow of the sea water. Regarding the water composition, Bojana belongs to the type of karst waters, between lower and medium degree of mineralization, having poor alkaline character upstream of Fraskanjelo.
