On-farm adaptability trial of advanced lines of sweet potato [in Bangladesh]

Adaptive trial of two advanced lines of sweet potato (Tripti and Kamola Sundari) along with local variety was conducted in farmer's field at Feni and Raipur multilocation testing sites of greater Noakhali district of Bangladesh during the rabi season of 1986-87 to examine the yield performance and adaptability of this new lines at different agro-climatic situation. The results showed that both at Feni and Rajpur multilocation testing sites Kamola Sundari yielded highest (34.2 and 34.45 t/ha) followed by Tripti (30.32 and 30.55 t/ha) and local variety gave lowest yield (25.8 and 25.1 t/ha).
