The fungicides tested were hinosan 50 % E.C. and anthracol 70 % W. p. with verdasan 2.5 % Hg W.P. as a standard. The data indicated that plots treated with hinosan 2.5 pt., anthracol 2.0 lb, hinosan 3.5 and 1.0 pt/acre and verdasan yielded significantly more than the untreated control. All treatments significantly reduced the percent neck infection except anthracol at 1.5 and 2.5 lb/acre
