Effect of planting pattern on sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris) yield in waterlogged soils with saline irrigation

Five planting patterns followed for 'Ramonsakaya' sugarbeet were: T 1, flat sowing; T 2, seeds placed in the top portion of ridge; T 3, seeds placed on the north side of ridge; T 4, seeds placed on the south side of ridge; and T 5, seeds placed in the furrow between the ridges. Sugarbeet germination in treatments T 2, T 3, T 4, T 5 and T 1 was 41, 59, 47, 93 and 97'%', tuber yield 41, 39, 39, 49 and 55 tonnes/ha; and sucrose content 13.0, 13.2, 12.8 and 13.3'%' respectively
