Phenotypic correlations between milk, fat and protein yields and their content in the heifers' milk

In Black-and-White heifers correlations between the milk, fat and protein yields and the content of fat and protein in milk at 60, 100, 200 and 305 days of lactation were determined. The correlation coefficients between the milk yield and the fat and protein yields were highly significant and increased with duration of lactation. The correlation coefficient between milk yield and the protein content was low and negative. The high and significant correlation coefficients were found between fat yield and protein yield
