The preparation always caused an increase in the number of leaf buds on one year old shoots. The best effect was achieved with the concentration of 100 ppm applied one week after shedding the remnants of outer floral parts by a large specimen of fruit set. Gibrescol, so applied, also improved the development of shoots from buds accreted to the rootstock and increased the number of new nursery trees raised from them
