[Effect of rapeseed oil supplemented diets on Polish Landrace sow colostrum and milk composition]

An investigation on Polish Landrace sows fed with rations containing rapeseed oil from the 95 day of pregnancy to parturition and from 2 till 21 days of lactation was carried out. There was observed higher content of proteins and essential fatty acids in colostrum of sows given rapeseed oil in diet than in that of control ones as well as there was stated higher content of unsaturated fatty acids mostly of linoleic linolenic, arachidonic and erucic acids in the colostrum and milk of sows fed on rapeseed oil
