Controlled reproduction of carp in autumn and winter was carried out. The period of preparation of carp females for autumn reproduction affected the rate of maturation of oocytes during preparation for winter reproduction, the rate of maturation of oocytes after injections of pituitary, the amount of pituitary which stimulated ovulation, and the number of eggs obtained in the winter
