Mutual relations between yield components and their effect on grain yield per plant in soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill)

There have been investigated F1 and F2 generations of 5 diallelly crossed soybean varieties as well as of parental forms. The following characteristics have been investigated: number of pods per plant, 1000-grain mass, yield per plant, harvest index, share of proteins and oil in grain. There has also been investigated the interdependence of some characteristics and their correlation with grain yield per plant. The number of grains per plant has had the strongest effect upon the yield.
