There has been investigated the way of inheriting plant height and harvest index in F1 and F2 generations in 5X5 diallel wheat crosses. Variants of general and special combining abilities are highly significant for both investigated properties which point to additive and non-additive genic action. The F value (interaction of additive X dominant effect) is negative and therefore recessive genes predominate the dominant genes in parents used in the crossing. Heritability in wide sense in high for the stem height and harvest index.
