Dynamics of nitrogen uptake and depletion per stages of wheat development depending on fertilization method

A high correlation between the total nitrogen content in a wheat plant and dry matter yield has been found out. The total nitrogen content, depending on the fertilization variant, was 4.9 to 5.5% in young plants and in the fully mature entire plants it was 0.96 to 1.08%. From sprouting until the end of earing, depending on the fertilization variant, the wheat crop adopted 75.1 to 97.0% of N, relative to the maximum adoption stage. There is a high correlation between the nitrogen quantity adopted by the crop and the applied quantity of the nitrogen fertilizer. In the stalks in the latex maturity stage there was 20.5 to 27% and in the full maturation stage 7.6 to 12% of the totally adopted nitrogen. In the latex maturity stage the nitrogen quantity adopted by the leaf was 15.3 to 23%, depending on the variant, and in the full maturity stage it was 4.5 to 8.2%. The fully mature grain contained 70.3 to 78.9% of nitrogen, depending on the fertilization variant.
