The Dunav-Tisa-Dunav hydrosystem offers possibilities for the development of fish breeding i.e. exploitation for fish breeding purposes. Investigations on the part of channel Backi Petrovac -- Karavukovo and on the part of the Begej from Stajicevo to the mouth of the Tisa show that although these waters differ regarding their physical-chemical and hydrobiological characteristics, the fish catch points to considerably high fish production. By undertaking certain measures, better production results could be achieved.
