The relationship between aggregated intensity of dominant species of plankton and shoal formation of scad and mackerels in East China Sea and Yellow Sea

In order to exploit the fishery resource consisted of scad and mackerels in East China Sea and Yellow Sea, authors carried out the investigation on population density of dominant species of plankton fed on as bait by above mentioned fishes. The result verified the intimate relationship between fish shoal and bait density. In the southern fishing ground of investigated area, planktons distribute more evenly than in the northern, so the scope of shoal detection should be extended.
