Changes in the blood levels of Hb, RBC, PCV, WBC, gloucose and serum proteins were determined in spring, summer and winter in 61 ewes (8 Barki and 8 Rahmani) and in 8 Baladi goats. The results indicated that seasonal variation had significant effect on the Hb, RBC, PCV, glucose, total serum proteins and serum albumin. Also, there are a significant difference between breeds in RBC, PCV and albumin concentration. Accordingly significant interactions between breeds and season were recorded in HB and RBC. Minimum variations in the main hematological parameters due to season of year were shown in goats indicating its toterance capacity under subtropical conditions.
