Applying Nutrin as a foliar nutrition to cotton plant (Gossypium barbadense L. cv. G. 45) in 1978 and 1979 at the flowering initiation stage, had no effect on mean plant height, dry weight of the vegetative parts as well as lint percentage. The number of total open bolls were highest at the level of 17.0 and 34.0 mgm Nutrin/pot (1.0 and 2.0 kg Nutrin/Fed.). The highest percentage of opening bolls, yield of seed cotton, lint cotton and seeds were obtained at the application of 34.0 mgm Nutrin/pot (2.0 kg Nutrin/Fed.). The addition of Nutrin caused an obvious increase in the total counts of microorganisms, while the nitrifying bacteria showed a slight stimulation.
