Evaluation of two tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) varieties to determine their susceptibility or resistance to Fusarium wilt

The susceptibility of two varieties of tomato, Marmande oE Extra and improved Zuarungu, to Fusarium wilt (caused by Fusarium oxysporum f sp. lycopersici) in a potted plant experiment in a plant house is reported. Marmande oE Extra was more susceptible. Severity of the disease increased with time, starting from about 5 weeks after inoculation
