The rootstock as an affecting factor to flower differentiation of apricot cultivars

Between the years 1977-1981 the author examined 3 apricot scions with 5 rootstocks. The amygdalopersica typ. C 410 stimulated pistil length, but wild peach seedling typ. C 2630 and myrobalane typ. C359 blocked them, and they apistilly were stimulated by plum cv. Angelina Bourdett. There were stronger effects of years than of cultivars and rootstocks. Plum cv. Angelina Bourdett and myrobalane typ. C 359 represent extremity to pistil length and stamen number in flowers of Cegledi biborkajszi typ. C 244, and year 1978 had certain interest, i.e. with many apistile flowers. The climate influences were very strong on Cegledi orias typ. C 255 so that the relative stamen number was very low (years 1977 and 1981) or very high (as year 1980).
