[A comparison study between local and imported seed tubers [Spunta cultivar; seed sources effect on stem per plant, dry weight; number of tubers; fresh and dry weight of tubers per plant]]

This study was conducted to compare the local potato seeds, A-class, produced at Agrah, in the northern part of Iraq, with the imported seeds, E-class, during spring season, 1985. It was found that there were no significant differences between the source of seeds in relation to germination, number of stem per plant, dry weight, number of tubers, fresh and dry weight, number of tubers, fresh and dry weight of tubers per plant. Moreover, seed source did not affect total yield or tuber size.
